PALO ALTO, Calif. – June 17, 2015 — Sciton, Inc. announced today that Dr. Rebecca Gelber, MD will be presenting on the company’s new laser technology for hybrid fractional resurfacing combined with phototherapy at their 2015 EMEA Summit. This event takes place Saturday, June 27th at the Ritz Carlton in Istanbul, Turkey.
Last year, Sciton launched the world’s first hybrid fractional laser (Halo™) which combines a non-ablative fractional laser for deep dermal rejuvenation and an ablative fractional laser for epidermal renewal. These two laser technologies combine synergistically to create a greater effect without the downtime of more aggressive treatments. Dr. Gelber quickly realized the benefit of combining this with BroadBand Light™ to further enhance and promote skin rejuvenation. She states, “By combining modalities, you’re bringing in one treatment which is best-in-class for discolouration and anti-ageing and a second treatment which is best for fine lines, texture, and pores. When you put them together, you’re listening to all your patients’ concerns and giving them the global improvement which they really want.”
Dr. Patrick Bitter, MD, FAAD, the developer of the FotoFacial™ procedure, has also been speaking on the benefits of combining these two treatments. He states, “The combination treatment with BBL and Halo at the same time has been a home run procedure to quickly and easily achieve dramatic improvement in photo-ageing, actinic damage and discolouration anywhere on the body, in a single session, with limited downtime. This is my treatment of choice for patients for photo damage and early actinic keratosis.”
